I'm fascinated by the sky. I've always been intrigued by the science of the planets and the stars. In college I was told by my astronomy professor I should consider a career in science. Instead I decided to pursue my love of the written word. Looking back I wish I would've at least explored more astrophysics, but I think writing is my stronger suit. To be honest, I think my teacher was being polite, as I don't think my mind can fully wrap around the intricacies of space. My love for it hasn't waned though and I find myself taking lots of sky photographs. Recently my target has been the moon. Before I bought my Canon all my photos of the moon would turn out a big bright blob. The first time I captured it in detail I proudly posted it on Instagram even though it was a little blurry and overall not every good. The one above is my second attempt and, while not perfect, is better than the last. I love it. There's something magical about it, especially being bright and full. I'm determined to capture the stars next hopefully over a dreamy landscape where there's no light to interfere and no service on my phone.
