Falling: An Autumn Tale

This post is long over due, but I can't help but still gush over the gorgeous golden aspens. Fall is truly my favorite time of year and there's nothing quite like it here in Colorado. I took a quick trip to Golden Gate Canyon State Park in Golden, as it was the closest and not as busy as some of the more popular areas. It did not disappoint. However, I ended up hiking eight miles instead of three, and forgetting to bring my water. Luckily I made friends with a group and they shared their supply. If you are in the Denver area this is a great place to visit as you panoramic views of 14ers from the Black Bear Trail, which also happens to be in the most difficult in the park. If you are a beginner there are plenty of trails in the park to choose from and I highly recommend checking it out.
